Familiar
A voice assistant for Windows, with characters that walk around your screen.
Familiar is a voice-first assistant for Windows you can use with nothing but a microphone. Animated characters move across your desktop, react as they work, and walk to the window you're talking about, in the spirit of the desktop buddies of the early 2000s.
What it does
- Control your PC by voice
- Animated characters that move to the window you're working in
- Expressions and reactions as it works
- An original cast of characters
Where it stands
The first Windows build started in October 2026.
